the power of a drumstick to drain my battery

"Ame, gi x petang ni?"
"Tak"
"Nape? Gi laa"
"Malas"

So after much persuasion, I still decided not to go to Esah's berbuka kelas E.

Today was a day I preferred to spend alone, but at about 6 pm Dewa asked me one last time. I still said no. So, at about 6 something, I decided that it would be time for me to go get food for my berbuka sorang2, so I decided to go to KFC S 13. Started JoKeR, jehehehehehem "oo battery's already week, but I would at least be in JB when the battery would die", I thought to myself. So I drove to S 13 but when I arrived, it was still early. Might as well kill some time and go the bazar first.

So I went to the bazar, walked about two or three steps and got bored. So I went back to JoKeR and tried to start the car. Nothing happened.

"Kalau tak boleh start, off aircond ngan radio pastu try lagi"

I followed Romeo's wise words. Still couldn't start. Everytime I turned the key, the OLED display started blinking Damn, this seems familiar. So, I did something that all real men do when they are stuck in a predicament. I called mak.

"Mak, kete tak boleh start. Battery da kering"
"Yeke? Abes cane?"
"AAM cover kan bende2 camni? Callkan, hehe"
"Ok, nanti mak call balik"

Meanwhile, I began thinking of other options, maybe Aimran or Paan could suggest something. Paan suggested a shop, but then mak called back.

"Kete Ame takde dalam coverage AAM taw, kalau nak kene bayar lebih"
"Huh? What the e, how can I not be covered? Gile jantan bawak kete xde insurance"
"Bukan Ame la, kete tu. Ayah cakap xyala, gi carik kedai je"

I thought about it for a moment, and decided that I'd rather just pay the excess than risk going to a shop I didn't trust (thank God for my accounting skills).

"Nanti Ame call balik, nak buke dulu la"

So, I called my knight in orange armour, Dewa.

"Dewa, battery kete aku mati doh. Amek aku"
"Aku tengah kat bazar 7, ko mintak la Aim ke", said Dewa assuming that I was still at home.
"Aku kat bazar 13 laa"
"Ok, japgi aku sampai. Ko belikan kuih dulu, kat sini pasar malam xde kuih"
"Tak reti laa"
"Beli je yang nampak cam susah nak buat"

So, while waiting for Dewa, I walked around the bazar looking for a kuih that looked like it needed tremendous amounts of expertise and preparation time. I guess either my standards were too high or I just didn't know anything about the kuih making process because I didn't find anything that satisfied Dewa's criteria. So, I settled for Roti John as a decleration of peace for Esah.

Dewa arrived with N Syuk, N Syuk bought currypuffs and we went to look for a CIMB Bank. Suddenly, N Syuk got a call.

"Wei, ade orang cakap da buke"
"Syuk, kite betol2 kat sebelah mesjid. Tak azan lagi. Agak2 la nak kelentong orang yang tengah kat sebelah mesjid wei"

And then it was time to break fast, so we ate Syuk's currypuffs first. Then we arrived at the building beside PAS which was supposed to house CIMB.

"WE HAVE MOVED TO BANGUNAN UMNO"

Wow, shows how long I haven't been here. So we went to the bangunan UMNO. Dewa wanted to park outside but we were guided by a guard to park inside.

"Muke cam kite ni ade muke nak makan hotel ke?", asked Dewa.

I withdrew what I needed, then got into Jelex. There was a car blocking our way, and an expensive looking BMW behind it.

"Dewa hon sket pastu pandang cam BM tu yang hon"

The car cleared the way, and we continued our journey to our break fast destination: Esah's house.

Ate nasi ayam Pak Mal and apologized to Esah for having to borrow Dewa and N Syuk before the "games" started.

"Dewa cukup la, Syuk tinggal"

Syuk decided to follow us anyway, so I bought him some Mountain Dew because he seemed like a guy who lives on the edge. About 45 minutes later, the AAM Man arrived and gave JoKeR its new raya battery.

"Even without spending time alone, life has shown me how important the people around me are to me. Thanks"

(Maybe I'll colour them when i have time)
